Rockefeller Innovation Challenge for decoding data

Journalists worldwide with a creative idea that addresses global needs can apply for a US$100,000 grant.

The Rockefeller Foundation presents its 2012 Innovation Challenge, a competition designed to discover and reward ideas that show unique promise for addressing global needs from a variety of geographies, perspectives and contexts.

Proposals can submitted to three different categories - decoding data, irrigating efficiency and farming now.

Nine finalists will receive funding to support their project, as well as marketing and positioning support from Context Partners, the challenge designers, including support in refining the idea and developing funding proposals.

Individuals, organizations or formal/informal entities can submit proposals in English outlining the project's catalytic innovation, impact, context and spark. Submit entries by May 25.
