Students from all over the world can apply for this photojournalism competition.
The 2012 ECHO Photojournalism Student Competition is open to students 16 to 28 years in age, from any field of study. It will be judged by New York Times photographer, Tyler Hicks.
The grand prize winner will receive a trip to Charlotte, N.C., during the Democratic National Convention (Sep 2-7, 2012); a one-day photo shoot with photojournalist, Bill Eppridge; and the winning photograph will be printed and mounted in a gallery exhibition.
The application deadline is June 30, 2012.
