Reuters offers course in broadcast journalism

Broadcast journalists can apply for a five-day course in London.

Reuters offers "Making Television News, a free course led by Reuters senior journalists that teach creative approaches to producing TV news stories. Subjects include research, writing for TV, camera work and editing.

Journalists from developing countries with no training resources are eligible for full scholarships, including travel expenses, accommodation and a modest stipend. Journalists from developing countries with limited training resources are eligible for partial scholarships, which covers course tuition costs.

Journalists not from developing counties can still apply for the course, but must pay all tuition, accommodation and travel fees.

Applicants must currently work as a journalist or regular contributor to broadcast media organizations. They must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in journalism in their country, must have at least two years’ professional experience and have a good level in spoken and written English.

Submit a brief bio, two work samples and a statement of interest by May 29.
