Mag+ has launched a future of publishing challenge for tablet content. There are six categories with prizes of US$1,000 each and a grand prize of US$5,000.
The six categories in the "Magnify Your World Contest" are editorial (magazines, newsletters, newspapers, blogs, online magazines), books, comic books, self-promotion (portfolios), music and movies, brochures and catalogs and people's choice.
Each app needs to have a minimum of five pages (verticals) with a maximum of 30 pages. All work has to be original. Copyrighted material, such as a photography book using National Geographic photos or an album app featuring music from Radiohead, is not permitted.
Prizes are as follows: each winning entry for best in category receives US$1,000; the people’s choice award winner will receive US$1,000 and the best in show winner will receive US$5,000.
