Christiane Amanpour award for religion reporting

Print, broadcast or online journalists who cover religion worldwide can apply for a US$1,500 cash prize.

The International Center for Journalists seeks nominations for its inaugural Christiane Amanpour Award for Religion Reporting, honoring an international journalist for his or her exceptional coverage of religion.

Applicants should submit one article or a series of articles on a single subject published in 2011. Entries should demonstrate strong writing, fairness, accuracy and clarity in reporting on religion, as well as address issues of tolerance and non-violence.

Entries may be submitted in either English or another language (with an English summary), complete with the name of the publication, the publication date and a brief profile of the writer.
