Up to $100,000 in Grants for knowledge and innovative ideas

The Rockefeller Foundation is organizing 2012 Innovation Challenges to commemorate the centenary of the foundation. The foundation is seeking the knowledge and innovative ideas which will solve problems arising in the next 100 years.

The main objective of the foundation is to build resilience and more equitable growth, especially for poor or vulnerable people viewing the hard core realities of 21st century. However, it depends on commitment and innovative ways to build solutions to this complex situation.

As many as 9 out of 15 finalists will be selected by the Foundation to apply for up to $100,000 in grant support to further develop or implement their ideas.

To be eligible for consideration, each entrant must:
Agree to any and all legal terms and conditions of the challenge.
Submit an entry form with all required fields completed through the challenge website http://centennial.rockefellerfoundation.org/challenge
Be willing to provide material and references in support of their ideas should they be requested by The Rockefeller Foundation or its challenge team.
If selected as a finalist, and if after preparing a proposal that is funded by The Rockefeller Foundation, the awardee must agree to use the grant money to further develop the idea.
If the entrant’s idea is selected as a finalist to prepare a proposal, and is awarded funding, the awardee must agree to comply with all national and international laws governing the transfer of any grant, monetary or otherwise, across national and international boundaries.
Are available to be contacted by email or telephone at any point in the evaluation process, and are available (if requested) for a site visit by a member of the evaluation committee.
Submit the entry in English.
Complete the entry form and submit or send it before the deadline of May 25, 2012, by 11:59:59 p.m. EDT.

Eligibility:

Challenge entrants may include individuals, organizations, formal or informal entities, i.e. an association, guild, student group, or village. Individuals submitting an idea, hereafter referred to as the entrant, on behalf of a group should be fully authorized by that group to do so. Any informal entities will require to affiliate with a formal authorized entity to apply for funding.
