The 2nd International Citizen Media Award

Citizens worldwide can enter video or audio entries focusing on civic involvement and solidarity between generations.

The 2nd International Citizen Media Award competition is open to individuals, groups, associations, civil initiatives, producers, actors and editorial teams in the field of citizen media work created by private, non-commercial producers.

Entries may include individual products, short movie, movie in a television broadcast, video podcast - and audio - individual product, radio spot in a radio broadcast, podcast.

In the video category, the first-place winner will receive EU€1,000 (about US$1,330), the second-place winner will participate in an international media camp and the third-place will receive EU€300 (about US$400). In the audio category, the winner will receive EU€300 (about US$400).

Entries may be in English or the native language with English subtitles and translation and must have been created between August 2011 and July 2012. The deadline is July 31.
