Competition for war correspondents


War correspondents worldwide can enter a competition.


The Bayeux-Calvados Awards for War Correspondents, sponsored by the Calvados General Council and the town of Bayeux, France, honor coverage of conflict situations or news events relating to the fight for freedom and democracy.

Categories include young reporters, long and short-form TV, radio, print, online and photojournalism.

The winner of each category will receive a EU€7,000 (about USD$9,840) cash prize. The report must have been published between June 1, 2011 and May 31, 2012.

The deadline is June 8, 2012.
