International Photography Competition

Date: 29/07/11

Photographers can participate in an international competition.
Starting Sept. 1, the Wildlife & Wetlands Trust (WWT), a conservation organization based in the U.K., will begin accepting photo submissions for the autumn heat of its four-part, seasonal competition.
The competition celebrates the centenary of the Scott Antartic Expedition. To commemorate that event, this year's grand first prize is a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Antartica, courtesy of Exodus in partnership with Quark Expeditions. Other prizes will be announced soon.
There are two new categories for the 2011-2011 contest: World Wetlands, for wetland pictures taken anywhere in the world; and Under 16s has been extended to Under 18s: Junior Photographer of the Year.
The returning categories are Wetland Wildlife, Wetland Landscapes and Wildlife & People. All photos in these categories must have been taken at one of the WWT's nine wetland centers across the UK.
