The Doha Centre for Media Freedom seeks freelancers

Freelance writers covering press freedom and media issues in South and Central Asia, Asia Pacific and the Middle East and North Africa are invited to submit story ideas.

The Doha Centre for Media Freedom seeks stories about political or economic restrictions on media freedom, as well as other kinds of obstacles journalists face in their everyday work, including safety issues or self-censorship. The Centre also looks for people to profile for its Journalist Spotlight section.

The Centre pays between $200 and $350 per story. Story pitches should include a concise description of the topic, the angle and the sources that will be used.

Journalists should send pitches via email to stephanie@dc4mf.org .
