University of Sussex ‘Economic and Social Development Scholarship’ for India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

University of Sussex is accepting applications from students registered on one-year Master’s degreeprograms in Anthropology, Development Studies/International Development (including the Institute of Development Studies), Economics, Education (including MA in Childhood and Youth Studies), GenderStudies, International Relations, Human Rights, Migration Studies for ‘Economic and Social DevelopmentScholarship’. The major purpose of the scholarship is to support those students who intend to and possibly will contribute to the economic or social development of their countries when they return on completion of their studies.

The total award amount is £5,000 covering the tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria –
  • Applicants must be nationals from, and resident in, one of the following countries – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
  • Students must be applying for a Master’s degree in the following subject areas only – Anthropology, Development Studies/International Development (including the Institute of Development Studies), Economics, Education (including MA in Childhood and Youth Studies), Gender Studies, International Relations, Human Rights, Migration Studies.
  • Applicants must not previously have studied at degree level in the UK.
  • Applicants must be classified to pay fees at the ‘overseas’ rate.
