Nominate Candidate for Knight International Journalism Award 2014

International Center for Journalists is inviting nominations for Knight International Journalism Award 2014. The major purpose of the program is to honor and award journalists who produce pioneering news reports orinnovations that have great impact besides difficult circumstances during the ceremony to be conducted in Washington D.C. in November 2014.

The award recognizes media professionals who demonstrate a passionate commitment to excellent reporting that makes a difference in the lives of people around the world. Award winners receive a trip to the United States, where they will be honored at ICFJ’s Awards Dinner on November 10, 2014. Each winner will receive a $3,000 cash prize and a crystal trophy recognizing their achievement.

Eligibility Criteria –
  • Nominees must be from and work in Africa, Asia, Central/Eastern Europe, Latin America/Caribbean or the Middle East.
  • Nominees can be reporters, editors, technologists, media managers, citizen journalists or bloggers.
  • Nominee must have produced pioneering news reports or innovations that have great impact, besides difficult circumstances.
  • Self nomination is considered.
