Professional and amateur photographers worldwide can enter a contest.
The European Wind Energy Association and the Global Wind Energy Council are accepting entries for the Global Wind Day 2013 photo competition.
Participants are invited to submit photographs that capture personal stories behind wind energy technology. Each photograph should include a short text (no more than 300 words).
The text should describe where and how the picture was taken, and explain the decision behind capture that exact moment. It can also include personal views on wind energy and the photographer's relationship to it.
The global first-prize winner will receive an Amazon voucher with a value of EUR€1000 (US$1,290). There will be five runners up; one per continent (Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Australasia). Each continental winner will receive an Amazon voucher with a value of EUR€250 (US$320).
The deadline is May 5.
