South Asian students to receive financial aid for summer internships

The South Asian Journalists Association (SAJA) is offering stipends to help students working in unpaid or partially paid internships this summer. Deadline: May 31.

Applicants must be of South Asian descent or demonstrate an interest in South Asia or the diaspora. They must be current students who are juniors, or graduating seniors in an accredited college or university in North America; or a student enrolled or about to enter a graduate-level program in North America. Applicants must have an internship offer from a recognized media organization.

The Internship Assistance Program is intended to recognize the reporting abilities and commitment of emerging journalists from across the United States, Canada and South Asia.

The SAJA Internship Assistance Fund will offer stipends of various amounts to cover airfares or other expenses.
