Young candidates are invited to apply for Rolex Young Laureates Awards 2014 to improve lives, or protect the world’s natural and cultural heritage. These projects have touched all aspects of humanity by expanding knowledge or improving life on the planet.
The aim of the pre-application process is to enable interested individuals to present project ideas succinctly. For more than 35 years Rolex has honoured extraordinary individuals who possess the courage and conviction to take on major challenges. The Rolex Awards for Enterprise support pioneering work in five areas: applied technology, cultural heritage, environment, exploration and discovery, and science and health. Projects are assessed on their originality, potential for impact, feasibility on the candidates own spirit of enterprise.
Each Young Laureate will receive 50,000 Swiss francs over a period of two years. In addition, Rolex ensures all winners receive access to its network of more than 100 past Laureates, as well as the benefit of international publicity through media coverage and the Rolex Awards website.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Candidates aged between 18 and 30 years are eligible to apply
- Pre application for 2014 Rolex Award for Enterprise may be submitted by individuals only
- No pre-application on behalf of another person will be accepted
- Pre-application cannot be submitted by Rolex employees, Rolex agents and retailers and their employees
