Innovative journalists to apply for Open Society Fellowship

Journalists who want to create innovative approaches to social issues are invited to apply for the Open Society Fellowship. Proposals are accepted year-round and deadlines are September 7, 2010 and January 17, 2011. Sponsored by the Open Society Institute, the fellowship seeks “idea entrepreneurs” from across the world who are ready to challenge conventional wisdom and are committed to achieving democracy and accountability.

In evaluating each proposal, the selection committee weighs three factors: the applicant, the topic of the project and work products.
