The Radio Nederland Training Center offers "Inside International Justice," a workshop designed to teach journalists relevant knowledge, contacts and examples of best practices for covering institutions that deliver international justice to encourage independent reporting.
Special emphasis will be placed on the International Criminal Court, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the Special Court for Sierra Leone.
Journalists from developing countries can receive a full scholarship covering international and on-site travel, accommodation, insurance, tuition fees and meal allowances.
Eligible countries include: Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Autonomous Palestinian Territories, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mali, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Surinam, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Scholarship applicants must submit a registration form, resume, letter of motivation including an argument for scholarship eligibility and proof of proficiency in English by May 1, or April 1 if applying on paper.
