Documentary makers looking for financing can enter a contest

IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam) FORUM is looking to finance cross-media documentary projects.The FORUM has been offering new financing opportunities for digital documentary pioneers since 2008.

Projects should be non-linear, have an emphasis on interactivity and utilize the Internet as a primary component. Selected cross-media projects are shown to new media commissioning editors at a round table session.

Projects that have been pitched to the FORUM in the past include Prison Valley, From Zero - People Rebuilding Life After the Emergency, 24h Berlin and others. Many projects go on to later be premiered at DocLab, IDFA’s festival program for digital documentary storytelling.
