Professional journalists with a proven track record in investigative reporting can apply to this opportunity.
The Global Investigative Journalism Conference is offering a limited number of travel grants for journalists in developing and transitioning countries to attend the conference, which will be held on Oct. 13 - 15 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Eligible candidates must be professional journalists with a proven track record in investigative reporting, watchdog beat reporting, or data journalism; and must be from a developing, democratizing, or transitioning country in Africa, Asia/Pacific, Eastern Europe/former Soviet Union or Middle East.
Travel grants for Latin American journalists will be available from the Instituto Prensa y Sociedad (IPYS) and the information about them will be published soon on the GIJC website.
To apply, send your name and contact details, a C.V., and a page-long statement about what you hope to get out of the conference.
